Welcome to Code Grand Rounds: Your BME 481 Coding Companion
Code Grand Rounds (CGR) is an educational platform built to help you learn technical concepts more easily, especially in biomedical and life science contexts. Whether you're new to coding or looking to sharpen your skills, CGR is designed to reduce friction and get you learning faster.
Why You’re Using CGR in This Course
This fall, you’ll use CGR to support core topics in BME 481. It’s here to:
- Help you start coding without getting stuck on setup
- Reinforce lecture material with guided lessons
- Give you space to experiment and explore with other related concepts
Getting Started
To begin, we recommend starting with the Python Fundamentals.
From there, you can move on to intermediate Python and then through some of the projects to see how things get applied.
You don’t need to install anything. CGR works fully in your browser!
When you are ready to code at home, you can check out the Code at Home lesson. This also includes a lesson on how to use your Terminal which is important for many of the concepts in BME481!
